1. How do I know I am advanced enough to study at LEAP?

LEAP’s curriculum falls between the intermediate and advanced levels on the Canadian Benchmark Scale. Completing our online test enables one of our certified ESL Instructors to determine whether or not you meet our minimum requirements. A follow-up assessment, at our office or yours, allows us to the appropriate program for you.

2. How long is a session at LEAP?

L.E.A.P. offers a variety of sessions for busy professionals. Please refer to our START DATES AND FEES section for more information.

3. How many students are in a class?

We recognize the importance of individual attention when studying another language. L.E.A.P's policy is to keep the classes small, with a maximum of 15 students per class.

5. I’m already working as an accountant. How can LEAP help me?

L.E.A.P helps accountants whose first language is not English to better integrate into Canadian offices. We will teach you the communication and cultural skills you need to become even more successful at your current job.

6. I attended university in Canada. Can I still benefit from your program?

Yes! The courses offered at L.E.A.P present a unique combination of business English and business culture. University taught you how to be an accountant—we will help you become a successful communicator and accountant.

7. I want a class specifically designed for me. Does LEAP offer anything like that?

L.E.A.P offers a wide variety of programs. Upon request, we create custom-designed IN HOUSE PROGRAMS for businesses and companies. For individuals, we offer an INDIVIDUAL TUTORING PROGRAM. Please refer to our PROGRAMS section.

8. Where is LEAP located?

L.E.A.P’s classes are offered at Toronto’s prestigious York School, at 1320 Yonge Street. Please see the CONTACT US section for information about our head office.

9. Will I get a certificate at the end of the program?

Yes.

10. What qualifications do LEAP instructors have?

L.E.A.P instructors are all highly educated, certified and experienced. Each has a university degree, TESOL certification and years of overseas teaching and business ESL experience. Please refer to our ABOUT LEAP section.

11. I’m not an accountant. Can I still attend classes at LEAP?

Yes. If you are not yet an accountant, but are aspiring to work in the accounting world L.E.A.P can help you reach your career goals. We cater specifically to the accounting industry, but professionals working (or wanting to work) in other areas of business and finance may also benefit from attending L.E.A.P. classes.

12. I can’t attend classes in the evenings. Are there any other options?

The majority of our classes are offered in the evening, but we do also run classes on weekends. In addition, we conduct a variety of special programs throughout the year. Please contact us, or refer to the START DATES & FEES section.
